About Poesy
This is a poetry publication that represents the work of Poesy, a group of poets that stew, carve, hammer and knit new bodies of poetry from our present days. Our work grows out of regular workshops.
Poesy accepts that poetry is best when not a performance of cleverness nor perfection; it is a practice that simply ends in unusual places and requires showing up regularly for our craft.
In November of last year, Poesy hosted its first month-long poetry challenge called PoeWriMo, a November poetry challenge where our poets set daily or near-daily writing goals with the mantra:
build a body of work; build a poetry habit
We invite you to grab a tea or coffee and spend time with the poems here. Thoughtful reading and feedback are valued.
